Cooling System Repair

Your cooling system can benefit greatly from coolant flushes. Just like any other component of your car, your cooling system needs regular maintenance, which is why we advise having a coolant flush performed once a year to keep it operating properly. Our staff is here to assist you if you can’t recall the last time your car got a coolant flush.
You might be asking yourself, what is a cooling system? And why does it need a flush?
Firstly, the cooling system is not the AC system. The cooling system is comprised of the radiator, radiator hoses, water pump, antifreeze/coolant, pipes, and fans.
The cooling system has three primary functions:
1. Keeping your engine from overheating.
2. Ensures the engine is running at the right temperature to meet emissions regulations.
3. Provides heat during the winter.
Keeping your engine at the right temperature is the main function of the cooling system. The cooling system doesn’t need maintenance with every oil change, but the antifreeze/coolant levels should be checked regularly, and a full flush and replacement should be performed every 30,000-60,000 miles (or 3-5 years).
If you’re not sure if your vehicle needs cooling system maintenance or repair, give our team a call and we’d be glad to help!
